The individual questioned the appropriateness of using offensive language when bidding farewell to a fan, seeking the opinion of ZEROSE (ZEROBASEONE’s fandom). Shortly after, a second video surfaced, apparently capturing the beginning of the call. The anonymous individual claimed that Kim Ji-Woong sighed and displayed a dismissive attitude towards fans, expressing frustration about the need for fans to be cautious during conversations despite their financial investment in the fan event.

In response, WAKEONE Entertainment issued a statement the following day, asserting, “After consulting with [Kim Ji Woong] directly, the allegation is found to be untrue. We have also verified this with the on-site employee and translator.” The agency pledged to thoroughly investigate the matter for objective accuracy, utilizing various methods, including digital media forensics, to ascertain the truth and protect their artist.
