In a candid revelation from her latest memoir, Rebel Wilson discloses that comedian and actor Mickey Gooch Jr. was the person she shared her first sexual experience with at the age of 35.
Addressing her ‘How to Be Single’ co-star directly in ‘Rebel Rising,’ Wilson writes, “Micks, I know this might come as a surprise to you, but yes, I lost my virginity to you.” This confession, reported by the source Daily Mail, sheds light on a deeply personal aspect of Wilson’s life.
Confirming the revelation to the New York Times, Wilson mentioned that Gooch had been the first person to read her book, stating, “So he knows now.”

In her memoir, Wilson reflects on her struggles with weight and how they contributed to her decision to delay her first sexual encounter, admitting, “As a plus-sized woman, I never felt truly desirable.” She further shares that her mother’s battle with breast cancer served as a wake-up call, prompting her to embrace life fully.
“Life is fleeting. I didn’t want to miss out on experiences like sex and love,” Wilson writes. “I decided to embrace the moment, to overcome my fears, and dive into it. I resolved to seize the opportunity with the next suitable partner who came my way.”
Wilson and Gooch dated for several months in 2015, during which they were frequently spotted enjoying intimate moments together, including a cozy dinner date in Manhattan.
Recalling the lead-up to their first night together, Wilson reveals in her memoir that she took proactive steps to prepare herself mentally and physically. She confesses to watching adult c*ntent and using a vibrator to ease her nerves.
Reflecting on her decision to wait until her mid-thirties to lose her virginity, Wilson now views it as a positive choice. “Not everyone follows the same timeline,” she tells. “You don’t have to conform to societal pressures to rush into such intimate experiences.”
In February 2023, Wilson announced her engagement to jewelry designer Ramona Agruma, marking a new chapter in her exploration of relationships and s*xuality. “I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery,” she says, “and I’m embracing every aspect of who I am.”
