Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: The Mahakal temple in Ujjain saw a significant influx of VIP visitors on Thursday, just a day before Mahashivratri. Among them were renowned actors such as Hema Malini and Arman Kohli, who paid a visit to the temple. Adding to the prestigious list was the Railway Minister of State, Darshana Jardosh, who also made a pilgrimage to the Mahakal Temple.

Maha Shivratri 2024: Hema Malini Visit To The Mahakal temple

Sharing her profound experience, Hema Malini expressed, “Today, I had a splendid darshan. Despite seeing pictures of the temple every morning, experiencing it in person was truly divine.”

Additionally, actors from the popular TV show ‘Happu ki Ultan Paltan,’ Yogesh Tripathi and Gitanjali Mishra, honored the revered Mahakal Temple in Ujjain with their presence on March 5. Similarly, Simrat Kaur also offered her prayers at the temple on the same day. During their visit, they lauded the temple management for their excellent arrangements, enhancing their ‘darshan’ experience.

Maha Shivratri, a significant festival for devotees of Lord Shiva, draws lakhs of pilgrims to seek blessings from Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar at the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple. The celebration of Shiva Navratri 2024, which begins nine days prior to Maha Shivratri, commenced on February 29. Following the traditions of Sanatan Dharma, Shiva Navratri holds a special significance in the worship rituals at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain.
