The premiere of ‘Queen of Tears’ featuring Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun soared in viewership ratings on March 9, while ‘Wonderful World’ starring Cha Eun Woo experienced a minor decline.

‘Queen of Tears,’ the highly anticipated romantic comedy starring Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun, debuted over the weekend with strong ratings, surpassing its predecessor ‘Captivating the King’ featuring Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung. The storyline follows the journey of an heiress from a conglomerate and an employee who marries but struggles to maintain their love amidst the challenges of daily life. Despite the initial spark fading, they endeavor to reignite their romance and salvage their marriage.

 

On the other hand, ‘Wonderful World’ starring Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo witnessed a slight decrease in viewership ratings. The series revolves around a psychology professor who suffers a devastating loss when her young son dies unjustly. Faced with inadequate justice, she takes matters into her own hands, embarking on a quest for retribution while encountering others who share her pain, ultimately striving for healing and closure.

‘Queen of Tears’ Vs ‘Wonderful World’ Ratings

According to Nielsen Korea, ‘Queen of Tears’ secured an average nationwide viewership rating of 5.9 percent, while ‘Wonderful World‘ attained a rating of 6.4 percent. Despite the slight dip in ratings for the latter, both dramas continue to captivate audiences with their compelling narratives and talented casts.
