When Christina Aguilera crossed paths with Drew Barrymore for the first time, she was absolutely “starstruck.”

Despite her nerves, Aguilera summoned the courage to approach Barrymore, who was seated at a nearby table. Recalling the moment Barrymore left her seat, Aguilera seized the opportunity to introduce herself.

“I was so green to LA, I was like a teenager and I was so green and starstruck to everything and then there’s Drew Barrymore sitting at the next table,” she explained.

With Barrymore momentarily absent, Aguilera seized the moment, introducing herself and expressing her admiration for the actress. She recalled,

“And I went and I told you, I was like, ‘Hi, I’m Christina and I’m such a big fan and I’m here recording my album for the first time and I just wanted to say hi to you and blah, blah, blah.’”
