TV Actor Dolly Sohi Passes Away From Cervical Cancer Following Sister Amandeep's Demise

Renowned actor Dolly Sohi, celebrated for her roles in TV series such as “Jhanak” and “Bhabhi,” passed away on Friday morning (March 8) at a Navi Mumbai hospital following a battle with cervical cancer. Tragically, her younger sister Amandeep Sohi, also an actor, had succumbed to jaundice just hours before. Dolly, aged 47, had been diagnosed with cervical cancer approximately six months ago and was undergoing treatment. According to their brother Manpreet, Dolly breathed her last around 4 a.m. at Apollo Hospital. The cancer had metastasized to her lungs, leading to her decline in health.

Dolly Sohi’s Last Instagram Post Pleaded For Prayers

Sister Amandeep Sohi, known for her role in the TV show “Badtameez Dil,” passed away the previous night at DY Patil Hospital. She was in her early 40s. Both sisters’ untimely deaths have left their family and the entertainment industry in shock and mourning.

 

Apart from her notable roles in “Jhanak” and “Bhabhi,” Dolly Sohi also graced TV screens in shows like “Kkusum,” “Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi,” “Kumkum Bhagya,” and “Parineetii.” In her final Instagram post on February 20, Dolly had requested prayers from her fans and followers as she battled her illness.

In a recent Instagram video, Amandeep Sohi expressed her dismay over model Poonam Pandey‘s fake claim of suffering from cervical cancer, stating that it deeply hurt her and her family, especially as her sister Dolly was fighting the same disease.

The Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) expressed their condolences for Dolly and Amandeep’s passing in separate posts. The last rites for both sisters will take place in the afternoon.
