Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has tied the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed, as confirmed by Malik himself through a social media post on X (formerly known as Twitter). The post shared on a Saturday featured images from their wedding ceremony, accompanied by a caption that reads: “And we created you in pairs.”

Speculations about Malik’s relationship with Javed had been circulating for some time, gaining momentum when he extended birthday wishes to the actress last year, captioning a photo of them together with “Happy Birthday Buddy.”
In a show of support for Javed amidst controversy, Malik had previously defended her against allegations of rude behaviour towards colleagues on set. In a tweet from March 2022, he expressed his personal experiences with Javed, stating, “I have known Sana Javed for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to work with her multiple times. From my personal experience, I can only say that she has always been kind and courteous towards me and the people around us.”
Malik’s announcement of his marriage to Javed came as a surprise on both sides of the border, particularly amid ongoing rumours about his divorce from Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza. Malik and Mirza had married in Hyderabad in 2010 in a traditional Muslim ceremony, followed by a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. The couple shares a son, Izhaan, born in 2018.
