Over the weekend, Doritos Spain, a subsidiary of PepsiCo Spain, unveiled Hudson as a brand ambassador in a 50-second promotional video titled “Crunch Talks.”

Samantha Hudson, a transgender artist hailing from Spain, gained prominence through her social media presence and YouTube channel, where she shares insights on fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle.

However, the announcement stirred controversy on Monday as Hudson’s past tweets resurfaced, leading to calls for a boycott. Some users on social media platforms brought attention to Hudson’s tweets from 2015, in which she made remarks regarding a 12-year-old, which some interpreted as inappropriate.

There were also accusations against Hudson for allegedly expressing disdain towards women who have been victims of sexual abuse in other tweets.

Critics took to social media platforms to voice their displeasure. One user criticized Doritos’ choice of ambassador, accusing Hudson of inappropriate behavior and advocating for the boycott of Doritos products. Others echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment in the brand’s decision.

PepsiCo Spain has yet to respond to the boycott calls or address the allegations surrounding Hudson.
