Shocking | Rema Walks Away From Dreamville Festival Stage Due To Sound Issues

Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, graced the stage at the 2024 Dreamville Festival, curated by J Cole, alongside a stellar lineup including SZA, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and the host himself, J Cole.

The annual extravaganza unfolded at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park in North Carolina, drawing in throngs of music aficionados from far and wide over April 6 and 7.

Rema took to the spotlight on the festival’s second day, opening with his chart-topping track ‘Calm Down.’ However, his performance was soon marred by technical glitches, with the sound equipment faltering and causing delayed feedback, much to Rema’s evident frustration.

Technical Woes: Rema’s Stage Exit at Dreamville Festival

Expressing his dismay, Rema paused mid-act to address the issue directly with the sound crew. “There’s too many sound issues and it’s messing up my performance. I’m seriously not feeling this shitt,” he voiced his discontent, emphasizing his representation of Africa on the global stage.

Despite his efforts to soldier on, the persistent disruptions prompted him to make a decisive move. “Too many sound issues, my people, I love you all my people,” he announced before gracefully exiting the stage, leaving the audience disappointed but understanding of his predicament.

This wasn’t the first time he had encountered such difficulties. Earlier in 2024, he made headlines for walking away from a stage in Atlanta due to what he deemed an inadequate venue, adamant that his fans deserved better.
