Jennifer Aniston Forgets David Schwimmer: Hilarious Super Bowl Spot Reunites 'Friends' Duo

In a delightful twist of roles reminiscent of a sitcom plotline, Jennifer Aniston finds herself unable to recognize her former “Friends” co-star David Schwimmer in a humorous Super Bowl LVIII advertisement.

Unveiled on Tuesday, the commercial showcases Aniston, among others, purposefully forgetting certain details of her life to emphasize that Uber Eats, the food delivery service, offers more than just meals.

“Have we met?” Jennifer Aniston queries David Schwimmer, who eagerly approaches her for a hug upon spotting her amidst the bustling Hollywood scene, only to be met with Aniston’s bewildered expression.

Despite Schwimmer’s attempts to jog her memory by reminding her of their decade-long collaboration, Aniston remains perplexed. “You still don’t remember, do you?” he jests.

Amidst her departure, Schwimmer jests, “I hate this town,” prompting Aniston to murmur as she walks away, “As if I could forget 10 years of my life.”

Certainly, it’s hard to fathom anyone forgetting the iconic duo of Schwimmer and Aniston, who captivated audiences with their portrayal of Ross Geller and Rachel Green’s tumultuous romance on NBC’s beloved sitcom “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004.

“Friends” chronicled the lives of six friends and roommates as they navigated work, love, and the comedic ups and downs of daily existence in New York City. The ensemble cast also included Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry, who passed away in October.

Memory Lane: Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer’s Comic Reunion

Despite Jennifer Aniston’s temporary memory lapse in the ad, the reunion of these old friends is a welcome sight, considering they haven’t shared the screen since their appearance on Max’s “Friends” reunion special in 2021. (Max and CNN share the same parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.)

The Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show will feature performances by Usher, musician Jelly Roll, and David and Victoria Beckham, who also participate in the campaign, humorously forgetting significant aspects of their lives.

The highly anticipated game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will air on CBS on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST/3:30 p.m. PST.
