In the Grammy-nominated music video for “Dear Insecurity,” a collaboration with Brandi Carlile, Clark delves into the details of these insecurities. The video, released in October, portrays a journey of confronting insecurities, a process that resonated deeply with Clark, leading her to shed tears.
Brandy Clark admits to seeing aspects of herself in every character in the music video. She recognizes the perpetual cycle of perceiving oneself as a great artist, only to encounter someone even more exceptional. According to her, the key to combating insecurity is learning to coexist with it.
