Adele Extends Munich Summer Run With Two Additional Shows

Adele is turning her overseas stint into an extended stay in Munich. Initially announcing four exclusive performances set for August 2, 3, 9, and 10 at a custom-built venue with an 80,000-person capacity, the songstress quickly expanded her commitment to include extra dates on August 14, 16, 23, and 24.

Responding to overwhelming demand, Adele revealed on Tuesday (Feb. 6) that she will be adding what she termed as the “final” show at Munich Messe on August 30 and 31. These performances held in an open-air environment specially crafted for these unique shows, mark Adele’s first appearances on the continent since 2016.

Adele recently concluded her inaugural concert residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which commenced in November 2022 and is scheduled to wrap up on June 15.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Adele shared on Instagram,

“So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows. I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans. However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea – a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on.”

While she has refrained from embarking on global tours since her 2016-2017 journey in support of her album “25,” Adele hinted at a potential return to the road in a recent video shared by fans. “I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time,” she disclosed. “But next time I do,” she added, “I’ll come to wherever it is you live.”
