Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Dunki,” is making big waves at the box office, earning an impressive Rs 256.40 crore worldwide Dunki Box Office Collection in just five days. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie had a strong start in India on December 21, with Rs 29.20 crore on the first day. Although it dipped to Rs 20.12 crore on the second day, “Dunki” quickly picked up momentum, collecting Rs 25.61 crore, Rs 30.70 crore, and Rs 24.32 crore on its third, fourth, and fifth days, respectively. The total box office collection in India for the first five days is now Rs 128.13 crore.

Globally, the film opened with a bang, earning Rs 58 crore on the first day of the Dunki Box Office Collection. It continued to perform well with Rs 45.40 crore, Rs 53.82 crore, and Rs 53.91 crore on the second, third, and fourth days. It brought in a respectable Rs 45.27 crore on the fifth day.
With a reported production cost of Rs 120 crore and a total worldwide Dunki Box Office Collection, the movie officially joined the list of Bollywood’s top-grossing films for 2023, surpassing “OMG 2” and “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.” Its global collection of over Rs 250 crore has made it the eighth highest-grossing film of the year, trailing behind “The Kerala Story” (302 crore). The film features a star-studded cast, including Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Shah Rukh Khan.
Hirani On His Dream To Work With Shah Rukh Khan
“Dunki” was screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 24, adding to its buzz. Rajkumar Hirani, the director, revealed that he had wanted to work with Shah Rukh Khan since noticing him in the 1989 TV series “Circus.” Hirani shared insights into why they collaborated for two decades, emphasising his long-standing admiration for SRK since their paths first crossed in the television series.
