Yami Gautam Opens Up About Her First Pregnancy.

Actor Yami Gautam and director Aditya Dhar are expecting their first child, marking a new chapter in their lives three years into their marriage. Yami, who is currently five months pregnant, is set to welcome the newest member of their family later this year. During a press interaction following the trailer launch of her upcoming film, “Article 370,” Yami shared insights into her experience filming while pregnant.

Reflecting on the challenges, Yami humorously remarked that she could almost write a thesis on the topic. She described the experience as “mentally taxing,” particularly navigating the initial stages of pregnancy while balancing her professional commitments. Expressing gratitude for her husband’s unwavering support, she confessed:

“If you ask me about motherhood and everything coming together, I don’t know what I would’ve done if Aditya wasn’t by my side.”

Yami emphasized feeling a sense of responsibility as an actor to complete the film despite her pregnancy. She revealed that they took extensive precautions during filming, keeping her condition a secret and ensuring her well-being with the discreet assistance of doctors. Fortunately, she only had remaining talkie portions to shoot, alleviating some of the concerns.

Despite the challenges, Yami Gautam expressed enjoyment in preparing for her role as an NIA agent in the film. She disclosed that most of the training and stunts were completed before her pregnancy, emphasizing the importance of caution during such activities.

Reflecting on the experience, Yami found it surreal that her baby was indirectly part of the filmmaking process. She drew inspiration from her mother, witnessing her resilience while working during pregnancy, and highlighted the strength of Indian women.
