Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal are now proud parents. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Monday, June 3. Varun shared the joyous news through an animated video featuring his pet dog Joey holding a sign that read “Welcome lil sis.” On Instagram, he wrote, “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby. Hail Ram Hail Ram, Ram Rama Hail Hail Krishna Hail Krishna Krishna Hail Hail.”
Earlier, Varun’s father, director David Dhawan, confirmed the news in a viral video where he was seen leaving the hospital. When asked by paparazzi whether they had a granddaughter or grandson, he replied, “Beti huyi hai (we have been blessed with a baby girl).” Varun, who was with his father, added, “All good,” flashing a broad smile.
In case you missed it, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal announced their pregnancy in February this year. Varun shared an adorable monochrome picture on social media, showing him kissing Natasha’s baby bump with their pet dog Joey sitting nearby. He captioned the photo, “We are pregnant, Need all your blessings and love #myfamilymystrength.”
Varun and Natasha got married on January 24, 2021, after dating for several years. Their wedding was an intimate affair with close friends and family. In an interview with Kareena Kapoor, Varun shared that he met Natasha in the sixth grade, and they became close friends in the eleventh or twelfth grade. He recalled feeling like he fell in love with her the day he first saw her.
Varun Dhawan on Professional front
On the professional front, Varun Dhawan will star in the action thriller Baby John, directed by A Kaleeswaran and presented by Atlee in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios. He is also set to appear in the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and will be seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
