In a recent interview, the veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, who was again recently seen in the Blockbuster ‘Animal’ movie, admitted that he didn’t know his son Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai were dating. He found out about it from director Ram Gopal Varma. Suresh Oberoi talked about this in an interview with Lehren Retro.
He said, “I didn’t know most of the things. Vivek never told me; Ramu (Ram Gopal Varma) told me. Before Ramu, somebody else told me. I had told Vivek not to do it.”

Regarding Salman Khan, Suresh Oberoi mentioned that he was relieved in Vivek’s case at that time and still is. Despite past issues, when Salman Khan meets him, he shows respect by hiding his cigarette. Suresh Oberoi also emphasised that his relationships are good enough.

When asked about his relationship with actor Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya’s father-in-law, Suresh Oberoi, candidly mentioned, “I was never a friend of his.” However, he added that despite the complex web of relationships, the Oberois, Khans, and Bachchans continue to maintain good connections.

Aishwarya Rai was previously in a committed relationship with Salman Khan. After their publicised breakup, rumours circulated about her relationship with Vivek Oberoi. This led to Vivek holding a press conference accusing Salman Khan of making threatening phone calls. Although Aishwarya never publicly acknowledged her relationship with Vivek, they reportedly separated in 2003. Aishwarya later married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007.
Recent reports and rumours suggested trouble in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage of over 16 years. According to a source, they are still together for their child’s sake despite facing problems for years. A divorce is unlikely in the near future.
