Ranveer Singh to Play Dev, the Antagonist in Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer Brahmastra 2: Reports Tell- It’s Confirmed!

Brahmastra 2: Fans have been curious about who would play Dev, Shiva’s father. As per a report, Ranveer Singh may play the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s dad.

The Brahmastra universe is expanding, and guess who’s stepping into the spotlight as Shiva’s father, Dev? None other than the dynamic Ranveer Singh!  According to a buzzing report, Ranveer has officially inked the deal to play this pivotal role in Ayan Mukerji’s much-anticipated sequel.

Hrithik Roshan, Kannada star Yash, and even Ranveer Singh were the names that were tossed around by fans after the film was released. A little over a year since Brahmastra’s release, a source has told News18 exclusively that one of the fan theories is right. Wake Up Sid and movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’s director have finally zeroed down on Ranveer Singh to play Dev in the second part of the Brahmastra series.

The grapevine reveals that while the script is still simmering, the film is slated to hit the floors in 2025. However, with Ayan Mukerji diving into War 2 and Ranveer gearing up for Baiju Bawra, the exact schedule is a bit of a mystery right now.

“If all goes well, Ranveer will kick-start Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra mid-2024. While it was decided that the shoot of Brahmastra 2 will begin in early 2025, it is now being said that Don 3 will go on floors at around the same time. In all likelihood, Ranveer will shoot for Don 3 first and then Brahmastra 2,” the source added.

And here’s the extra dose of excitement: Bollywood’s two off-screen power couples will come on the big screen for the first time! Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone will share the frame, with Deepika playing Ranbir’s mother, Amrita, in Brahmastra.
