India rolled out the red carpet for the Miss World 2024 pageant, marking its return after an absence of 28 years. The glitzy grand finale took center stage at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, setting the scene for a night of glamour and anticipation. All eyes are on Sini Shetty, the reigning Femina Miss India 2022, who carries the hopes of the nation on her shoulders.
Themed “Beauty with a Purpose,” the competition draws 112 contestants from around the globe, with a notable presence of 28 delegates from various African countries. Among them, Sini Shetty, a 22-year-old hailing from Mumbai with roots tracing back to Karnataka, emerges as India’s shining star. Trained in classical dance, Shetty’s talent shines through, having attained her Arangetram in Bharatanatyam under the guidance of the renowned Radhakrishnan Padmini.
The event is not short of star power, with filmmaker Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young taking up the hosting duties. Musical performances by Neha Kakkar, Tony Kakkar, and Shaan further elevate the glamour quotient. Adding prestige to the occasion is the presence of Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World 2021, exuding elegance and grace.
