Kabir Bedi was born on January 16, 1946 to Baba Pyare Lal Singh Bedi and Freda Bedi.
He did his schooling at Sherwood School, Nainital, Uttarakhand, and later graduated from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi.
He is best known in Italy and Europe for playing the pirate Sandokan in the popular Italian TV mini-series and for his role as the villainous Gobinda in the 1983 James Bond film Octopussy.
Kabir Bedi has been a voting member of the Oscars Academy since 1982.
