This highly anticipated event, officially starting on Friday, July 19, 2024, promises to bring a treasure trove of content to the Battle Royale.
Event Start Date and Cursed Sails Pass
The Cursed Sails Event is set to launch on July 19, 2024. Although the Cursed Sails Pass was accidentally available for purchase on June 22, this premature release has only fueled excitement. Epic Games confirmed the official start date on their Fortnite Status page. Players who bought the pass early have been able to use the Jack Sparrow skin but have to wait until the official launch to progress through the pass.
For players who purchased the Cursed Sails Pass ahead of its intended release on July 19, please note you are currently unable to progress the Pass until the start of the event, but will retain your Jack Sparrow outfit in the meantime.

How to Get the Captain Jack Sparrow Skin
To acquire the Captain Jack Sparrow skin, players will need to purchase the Cursed Sails Pass from the in-game Item Shop starting July 19. The Premium Reward Track of the Cursed Sails Pass, priced at 1,000 V-Bucks, includes this sought-after skin. Those who purchased the pass early can still flaunt their Jack Sparrow skin but will only be able to progress in the event once it officially begins.

The Cursed Sails Pass is packed with 23 rewards spread across 11 tiers. Players can look forward to a variety of Pirates of the Caribbean-themed cosmetics, such as Jack Sparrow’s Sword, a Jar of Dirt emote, and the Cursed Jack Sparrow outfit.
