Taylor Swift ‘Sued’ Ryan Reynolds For Using Her Cats In ‘Deadpool 2’

Ryan Reynolds used Taylor Swift’s cats for a cameo in ‘Deadpool 2,’ and jokingly claims she sued him for it. Ahead of the release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Reynolds appeared on the Jess Cagle radio show, where he discussed Swift’s reaction to her cats making it to the big screen.

The actor revealed that the cats on Wade Wilson’s t-shirt were none other than Olivia and Meredith, the pop icon’s beloved pets. Swift, who shares a close friendship with Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively, often hangs out with the couple.

When asked if he sought Swift’s permission before featuring her cats, Reynolds humorously admitted he didn’t and joked about getting sued by the singer.

During his conversation with radio host Cagle, Reynolds revealed that it would have been wise to ask Taylor Swift for permission before featuring her cats in ‘Deadpool 2.’ He shared, “Yes, I had a T-shirt made. Yes, of [Swift’s cats] Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt.” He added, “Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all.”

Cagle quickly inquired if Reynolds had gotten permission from the pop star, to which the Marvel star denied and joked that it led to a lawsuit. Reynolds quipped, “I lost everything in that one.” He laughed, noting that Swift has powerful lawyers, but later discovered they were just paralegals, as the real lawyers didn’t even bother to look at the case.

Jokes aside, Reynolds emphasized that he would never do such a thing without his dear friend’s permission. Earlier this year, Reynolds and Lively attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Madrid.
