Munmun Dutta, aged 36, and Raj Anadkat, aged 27, have recently become engaged in a private ceremony with their families in attendance, According to an exclusive source from News18 Showsha. The couple, known for their roles as Babita Iyer and Tapu in the popular Indian television show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (TMKOC), has long been rumored to be in a relationship.

Raj Anadkat, who portrayed Dilip Joshi’s son Tappu on the show, left the show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ in December 2022. The engagement ceremony reportedly took place privately in Vadodara, Gujarat, a few days ago. Close sources to the actors revealed that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat have been romantically involved since Raj joined the cast of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, with their relationship being an open secret among the show’s crew.

Both Munmun Dutta and Raj have yet to respond to requests for comment from News18 Showsha regarding their engagement. Rumors of their relationship initially surfaced in a Times of India report in September 2021, which Munmun had denied on her social media platforms, criticizing media intrusion into her personal life without consent.

Are you liable to the damage that you cause to their lives with your reckless behaviour? You don’t stop at shoving your cameras on the face of a grieving woman who just lost her love or lost her son, in a funeral, just for your TRPs. You can stoop to any level to create sensational articles/headlines at the cost of someone’s dignity, but are you going to take responsibility for wrecking havoc in their lives?? If no then, you should be ashamed of yourself!!” Munmun Dutta had written.

Later, Raj also addressed the dating rumours and issued a statement on Instagram. “To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there please channelise your creativity somewhere else it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.”

Despite earlier denials, it appears that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat are now reportedly officially engaged, marking a significant development in their relationship that had previously been subject to media speculation and denial.
