Divyenndu Aka 'Munna Bhiaya' Won't Be Part Of 'Mirzapur 3'. Read To Know Why?

Actor Divyenndu, famed for his role as Munna Bhaiya in the Prime Video series ‘Mirzapur’, has announced his decision to step away from Mirzapur 3. In a recent interview, he expressed that playing the character of Munna Bhaiya had a deep impact on his psyche, often slipping him into low moments.

Addressing ‘Humans of Bombay’, Divyenndu said, “On Humans of Bombay, I shall declare, I am not a part of ‘Mirzapur Season 3’.” The news may come as a mild shock to ‘Mirzapur’ fans, given that Divyenndu’s portrayal of Munna Bhaiya was widely acclaimed by both viewers and critics.

Divyenndu further shared that playing Munna Tripathi was taking a toll on his life. “When I was in character, it was affecting my personality a lot. We shouldn’t over-romanticise going too deep into a character, because it is not easy. At times, it used to get really dark for me. I felt suffocated. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realise that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it do you realise how dark it was”, he said.

Divyenndu As Munna Bhaiya Possible Return Ignites Speculation

Despite Divyenndu’s statement, speculation resurfaced when Amazon Prime Video shared a post on their official Instagram account featuring Munna Bhaiya’s image from Mirzapur, accompanied by his signature dialogue. The dialogue, “Hindi Phillam Ke Hero Hain Hum. Humein Koi Nahi Maar Sakta,” seemed to suggest Munna’s comeback. However, it’s worth noting that Munna Bhaiya met his demise in a shootout at the culmination of Mirzapur Season 2, while Kaleen Bhaiya survived albeit injured.
