The highly-anticipated sports drama ‘Lal Salaam’ starring Rajinikanth, Vishnu Vishal, and Vikranth has finally hit theatres today, February 9th. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film showcases Thalaivar in an extended cameo. Prior to its eagerly awaited release, Aishwarya’s ex-husband and actor Dhanush showed his support for the movie.
This project marks Aishwarya’s return to directing. The ensemble cast includes Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Dhanya Balakrishnan, Vivek Prasanna, and KS Ravi Kumar. On Friday, Dhanush took to his official social media handle to express his excitement for the film. He wrote, ‘Lal Salaam from today (sic).’

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Aishwarya described the experience of directing her father as a ‘masterclass.’ She also expressed her admiration for AR Rahman, portraying him as a ‘fakir’, symbolising truth and sincerity.
When asked about working with her father, Aishwarya remarked, ‘Directing Appa (father) was something I never expected in my life to start with; it was a blessing. Every single day of working with him was a mini masterclass observing how he handles himself on set and his professionalism as an artist in the industry.’
Movie ‘Lal Salaam’ Storyline
The storyline of the movie reportedly delves into the intertwining themes of communal tension and cricket, with a focus on fostering communal harmony. The ensemble cast also includes Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai.
