Actor Arjun Sarja’s daughter, Aishwarya Arjun, and actor Thambi Ramaiah’s son, Umapathy Ramaiah, tied the knot on June 10 in an intimate ceremony at Arjun’s Sri Yoga Anjaneyar Temple in Gerugambakkam, Chennai. The wedding saw attendance from prominent figures in the film industry.
Their pre-wedding festivities began on June 7 with a haldi ceremony, a close-knit event for family and loved ones. Aishwarya and most of her family wore white, while her mother donned a yellow saree. The decor theme was ‘Cover Me in Sunshine’.
Following the haldi, Aishwarya Arjun changed into a vibrant yellow Anamika Khanna outfit for the mehendi ceremony, while Umapathy wore a black embroidered sherwani. The decor, inspired by ‘The Sky Turned Pink’, added to the dreamy atmosphere. Aishwarya was all smiles, receiving kisses from both her fiancé and father.
Actor Vishal, who co-starred with Aishwarya in the 2013 film Pattathu Yaanai, attended the sangeet and shared pictures on Instagram, expressing excitement for the celebration.
Besides Vishal, the guest list included actors Karthi, Dhruva Sarja, Jagapathi Babu, Samuthirakani, Vijaykumar, and Senthil, along with KS Ravikumar, GK Reddy, SR Prabhu, and KE Gnanavel Raja.
Aishwarya and Umapathy met on the reality show Survivor Tamil, hosted by Arjun in 2021. After dating, they got engaged on October 28, 2023. They will hold their wedding reception on June 14 at Leela Palace in Chennai.
Aishwarya debuted in 2013 with Pattathu Yaanai and was last seen in the 2018 film Prema Baraha, directed by her father. Umapathy debuted in 2016 with Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay and last appeared in the 2021 film Thanne Vandi, which featured his father in a supporting role.
