‘Omg 2 Box Office Collection’ has been a huge success! The movie premiered on August 11, 2023, and garnered praise from critics. It has earned a staggering ₹221 crore (US$28 million) worldwide, making it the tenth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023. At the 69th Filmfare Awards, the film received nine nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actor (Critics) for Tripathi. Additionally, Gautam received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The film ultimately took home the award for Best Story.

Omg 2 Box Office Collection/ Storyline/ Cast

OMG 2 tells the heartfelt story of a father’s unwavering fight for his son. Kanti Sharan Mugdal, portrayed by Pankaj Tripathi, resides in Mahakaal Nagri, where he runs a shop selling religious items in the temple complex. Alongside him live his wife Indumati, son Vivek (played by Aarush Verma), and daughter Damyanti. Their tranquil lives take a drastic turn when Vivek is hospitalized due to an overdose of Viagra.

Initially keeping this news from Indumati and Damyanti, Kanti faces further challenges when a video of Vivek’s inappropriate behavior in the school restroom goes viral. Consequently, the school principal, Atal Nath Maheswari (played by Arun Govil), expels Vivek for his actions. Advised to lay low for a while with his family, Kanti receives unexpected assistance when Lord Shiva sends his messenger, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, to help him fight for his son. The subsequent events unfold the rest of the film’s narrative.
