Janhvi Kapoor is over the moon as her latest release, Mr & Mrs Mahi, co-starring Rajkummar Rao, has garnered a positive response from audiences. The romantic sports drama, directed by Sharan Sharma, has earned Rs 23.09 crore in just six days at the domestic box office. This film marks a reunion for Janhvi and Sharan, who previously worked together on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

In a heartfelt statement, Janhvi expressed her gratitude, saying, “Your love has motivated me to keep going, to work even harder, and to push myself in my craft. Your love means everything! Mr & Mrs Mahi is a piece of my heart, and to all those who understood and connected with our message, thank you.”

In the movie, Janhvi plays Mahi, a doctor who switches to cricket with encouragement from her husband, also named Mahi (played by Rajkummar Rao). Janhvi dedicated two years to rigorous cricket training for the role, enduring several injuries, including dislocating both shoulders.

Recently, Janhvi shared a video of her intense training sessions, along with a heartfelt note thanking her coaches, Abhishek Nayar and Vikrant Yeligeti, for their support and guidance throughout her journey.

Mr & Mrs Mahi marks the second collaboration between Janhvi and Rajkummar, who previously co-starred in the horror-comedy Roohi.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Future Works

Janhvi’s upcoming projects include the political thriller Uljah with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew, as well as Devara – Part 1 alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
