Animal To Be Ranbir Kapoor’s Most Successful Movie. Box Office Collection Crosses ₹600 Cr on Day 9.

Despite facing criticism, Ranbir Kapoor’s movie “Animal” is doing really well at the box office. On its eighth day, the film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has made over ₹600 crore globally, and in North America, it’s crossed the $10 million mark.

Guess what? Ranbir Kapoor’s latest Bollywood flick, “Animal,” is rocking the global Box Office with a mind-blowing ₹600 crore! The movie hit the screens on December 1 and has been winning hearts both in India and around the world. Within India, Animal has amassed a net collection of ₹398.87 crore, contributing massively to its overall tally. The gross figures stand higher at ₹429.2 crore. Animal has not shied away from making its mark overseas, too, with a substantial collection of ₹170.8 crore.

The film’s earnings have been consistently strong, pulling in ₹337.58 crore in the first week. Although there was a small dip in the following days (totally normal for movies), “Animal” still managed to snag ₹22.95 crore on the second Friday and an estimated ₹37 crore on the second Saturday. Animal has now surpassed Sanju to become the most successful film of Ranbir Kapoor’s career. Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, had a worldwide collection of ₹588.50 crore. Animal is Ranbir Kapoor’s third consecutive success at the Box Office.

On Saturday, film trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted that The Animal is now in the top seven highest-grossing Indian films in North America. It crossed $10 million and is now in the top 7 grossers of all time in North America for Indian films. Many more milestones to come!!”

Criticism for Animal

Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is under scrutiny for its portrayal of extreme violence and has been criticized for promoting “toxic masculinity” and “misogyny,” similar to the director’s previous work, Kabir Singh.

Not everyone is cheering for the movie. Some folks are giving it the side-eye for its intense violence and what they call “toxic masculinity” and “misogyny.” Critics, including The Guardian, have called it a “poor man’s version of The Godfather.” Chhattisgarh MP Ranjeet Ranjan even spoke up in the Rajya Sabha, sharing that her daughter and other kids left the cinema feeling uneasy because of the film’s content.

Rashmika Defends Animal

Rashmika recently took to social media to defend Animal and share insights about her character Gitanjali in the film. She wrote, “She is pure, real, unfiltered, strong and raw.. At times, as an actor, I would question some of Gitanjali’s actions.. And I remember my director telling me – this was their story… Ranvijay’s & Gitanjali’s.. it was their love and passion, their families and their lives – this is who they are.” Animal has been facing a lot of criticism from critics and the audience for glorifying toxic masculinity and for being excessively violent and gory.

So, “Animal” is creating history at the Box Office, but it’s not without its fair share of debates and discussions!
