Ajay Devgn recently hinted that his upcoming film with Rohit Shetty, Singham Again, might be delayed. On Friday, the filmmaker confirmed that the highly anticipated action sequel will now be released on Diwali, instead of the original Independence Day schedule. Shetty shared the new release date on social media, along with a poster of Singham Again, writing, “Sher aatank machata hai, zakhmi sher tabahi! See you in the cinemas once again. This Diwali!”
At the trailer launch of Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum on Thursday, Ajay explained the potential delay. When asked for an update on Singham Again’s progress and its August 15 release, he said, “We are not sure, because the work on it is still going on. It is not complete. A little bit of shooting is still left to be done also. So we are not in a hurry because jaldbaazi mein kaam kharaab ho jaata hai. As soon as we are ready, we’ll decide.”
Previously, Rohit shared a behind-the-scenes image of Ajay Devgn from the sets of Singham Again, filmed in Kashmir. The movie will introduce two new characters to the cop universe: Deepika Padukone as cop Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya. Additionally, Singham Again will feature Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh reprising their roles as Singham, Sooryavanshi, and Simmba, respectively.
