In the latest buzz on social media, actor-singer Shruti Haasan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to clear up the confusion about her marital status. Rumours sparked when Orry, also known as Orhan Awatramani, claimed she was married. Shruti, known for her openness, questioned why she would hide such a thing, saying, “So, I’m not married. LOL. So, people who don’t know me at all, please calm down.”

Orry spilled the beans during a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ session, sharing a not-so-pleasant encounter with Shruti Haasan. He revealed she was unexpectedly rude at an event he had arranged, even though he didn’t ask her for a photo. Orry claimed, ‘Felt very bad, but there was probably some misunderstanding because I am good with her husband and I adore him. This will get sorted out in time. However, I heard from the rumour mill she called me a “Pune” (peon) like a spot boy or smth.

Her boyfriend, artist Santanu Hazarika, joined in on the clarification. On his Instagram story, he urged everyone to chill out, stating, “Y’all need to calm down! We are not married! Individuals who don’t know us, please stop spreading rumours,” accompanied by a folded-hands emoji.

The drama unfolded when Orry spilled the beans during an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit. Responding to a question about a celebrity with attitude, Orry mentioned Shruti Haasan, citing a rude encounter at an event. He clarified it might be a misunderstanding and expressed admiration for her husband. Shruti’s response to the “Pune” (peon) comment remains to be seen.
