Shah Rukh Khan is getting ready to come back to the movies with his third film of the year, Dunki. The Dunki promotions got more exciting on Tuesday as drones in Dubai created formations in the sky with Shah Rukh Khan’s name, his famous pose, and an aeroplane. They even showed the Dunki trailer on the iconic Burj Khalifa.

Photos and videos from the Dunki drone event in Dubai are now online. Shah Rukh, along with Dunki director Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi, is currently in Dubai for the promotions. Shah Rukh was seen wearing a black T-shirt, matching jeans, a red jacket, and sunglasses.

More About Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki

Dunki features a talented cast, including Shah Rukh, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Boman Irani. The movie will be in theatres on Thursday. Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon have co-written Dunki. It tells the heartwarming story of four friends—Manu, Sukhi, Buggu, and Balli—who dream of moving to London for a better life. However, they face a tough and life-changing journey to reach their goal.

On Tuesday, Shah Rukh revealed a new Dunki poster on social media. In his post, he wrote, “Dunkis leave their relatives behind, but the same relationships bring them back to their homes.” The poster shows Shah Rukh, Taapsee, and Vikram with their backs to the camera.

The Inspiration Behind Dunki

Shah Rukh shared a video where the Dunki team discussed the film. Rajkumar Hirani explained that the idea for the story came from seeing houses in Punjab with large cemented replicas of Air India planes on their terraces, something he initially found amusing. The film explores how people seeking a better life in countries like the UK and Canada take the illegal ‘donkey route,’ called ‘dunki’ in Punjabi when facing visa troubles in India.
