Pankaj Tripathi's Brother-in-law Dies In Road Accident In Dhanbad, Sister Sustains Serious Injuries

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law, Rakesh Tiwari, tragically passed away, while his sister Sabita Tiwari sustained serious injuries in a road accident near GT road.

The accident occurred around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2, when the couple’s car hit a road divider, reportedly confirmed by a police officer. Pankaj Tripathi’s sister Sabita is currently undergoing treatment at Dhanbad Medical College Hospital. The couple was traveling from Bihar to Chittaranjan in West Bengal.

CCTV footage circulating on social media captured the moment the car collided with the divider, causing extensive damage.

Following the accident, police and locals quickly rescued Rakesh and Sabita from the car and rushed them to Dhanbad Medical Hospital. Rakesh Tiwari was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel, while his wife remains under treatment. Rakesh, employed with the Indian Railways and stationed at Chittaranjan, was returning from their village in Bihar, according to family members.

Pankaj Tripathi, known for his outstanding roles in both films and series, lost his father last year in August. Besides his recent performances in Netflix’s ‘Murder Mubarak’ and ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ he’s recognized for his roles in various films such as ‘OMG2,’ ‘Stree,’ ‘Ludo,’ ‘Mimi,’ ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl,’ ‘Bareilly ki Barfi,’ and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur,’ as well as series like ‘Sacred Games,’ ‘Mirzapur,’ and ‘Criminal Justice.’
