Mangalore’s Mohammed Aashiq is the MasterChef Season 8 winner. The final episode aired on Friday on SonyLiv. Nambie Jessica Marak and Rukhsaar Sayeed were the season’s first and second runners-up.

In a nail-biting finale, 24-year-old Mohammed Aashiq from Mangalore became the MasterChef Season 8 winner, beating tough competition from Rukhsaar Sayeed, Nambie Jessica, and Suraj Thapa. Rukhsaar and Nambie claimed the titles of first and second runners-up, respectively. Aashiq not only secured the grand title but also walked away with the MasterChef trophy, a stylish MasterChef coat, and a whopping prize of Rs 25,00,000. Meanwhile, the talented runners-up received Rs 5,00,000 each.

Hailing from Karnataka, Mangalore’s pride initially aimed to be a hotel manager, but fate led him down a different path. Despite facing challenges, Aashiq turned his passion for food into a successful business by opening a juice shop wowing customers with his creative dishes.

Reflecting on his remarkable journey in MasterChef, Aashiq shared, ‘From facing elimination to holding the trophy, every moment was a profound lesson. This experience has completely reshaped my life, and winning this esteemed title feels surreal. It’s not just my victory; it’s for every dreamer defying odds to chase their aspirations.'”

Who is Mohammed Aashiq?

Mohammed Aashiq comes from Mangalore, near the coast. Before joining MasterChef India this season, he owned a juice shop in his city. He is the only one in his family who earns money. Aashiq had been on MasterChef India Season 7 before, but he got eliminated then.
