Bobby Deol, riding high on the success of Animal, spilled the tea about what his mom thought of the ending in Ranbir Kapoor’s movie. This comes right after his brother Sunny Deol hit it big with Gadar 2!

2023 stands out as one of the most rewarding for Bollywood’s renowned siblings, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. After a very long, Sunny Deol achieved remarkable success with Gadar 2 and his Dhai Kilo Ka Hath, solidifying its status as one of Hindi cinema’s colossal blockbusters. Now, Bobby Deol is savoring the triumph of his recent movie with Ranbir Kapoor, Animal. Since the movie’s theatrical release, he has been receiving praise from both film critics and the audience.

In Animal, Bobby portrayed the antagonist, Abrar Haque. Spoiler alert:  Bobby Deol dies at the end of the film. He revealed how his mother, Prakash Kaur, reacted to his death scene in the film. He said, “My mom was like, ‘Aisi Film Mat Kiya Kar Tu, Mujhse Nahi Dekha Jaata’ (Don’t do such films. I can’t see this).” He added, “I told her, ‘Look, I’m standing in front of you; I just played a part’.

But she’s very happy. The amount of phone calls she’s getting, and all her friends want to meet me. Something similar happened when Aashram released.” For context, Bobby Deol also grabbed the limelight for portraying the con godman in Prakash Jha’s series. During the chat, Bobby also talked about his father Dharmendra’s role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He said he couldn’t watch it as Dharmendra’s character dies in the film.

In the meantime, the movie is enjoying remarkable success at the box office, having crossed the Rs 500 crore mark within just one week of its theatrical release.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Suresh Oberoi, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra. The storyline revolves around Ranvijay, the son of Balbir, a prominent business figure in Delhi who had relocated to the United States. Ranvijay returns to India after his father survives an assassination attempt, leading him on a quest for revenge. Produced by T-Series (Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar), Cine 1 Studios (Murad Khetani), and Bhadrakali Pictures (Pranay Reddy Vanga), Animal promises an engaging cinematic experience.
