Actor Gurmeet Choudhary Shares His Special Connection With Lord Ram And Ram Mandir

Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, well-known for playing Lord Ram in ‘Ramayan,’ recently talked about his strong personal connection to the role and how it has influenced his feelings toward the upcoming Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Gurmeet  Choudhary began portraying Lord Ram in 2008 at the age of 24 and spoke about the spiritual impact of the role in a recent interview. He expressed his admiration for the preparations for the Ram Mandir, saying, “Every day at 4.30 am, I go for physical training. On the way, I saw many posters of Ram Ji. I think this is the kind of celebration that must have happened when he returned to Ayodhya back in the day. A similar vibe must have been there. Nowadays, when I leave home, people say ‘Ram Ram’ instead of ‘good morning.'”

Gurmeet Choudhary not only witnessed the construction of the Ram Mandir but also financially contributed to it two years ago, choosing to keep the amount private. He emphasised the sacred nature of such gestures, saying, “It’s better not to talk about this. Some things should not be discussed as a lot of belief is attached. I feel fortunate to have been able to contribute and play the role of Ram at the age of 24.”

With interesting connections in his life, Gurmeet revealed that his father’s name is Sitaram, and he comes from the village of Jairampur. Additionally, his wife, Debina Bonnerjee’s mother, is named Shabri. Fueled by these profound connections, Gurmeet expressed his intention to visit the Ram Mandir with his wife soon.

Gurmeet Choudhary’s journey with ‘Ramayan’ not only shaped his career but also brought him together with Debina Bonnerjee, whom he married in 2011. The couple, now parents of two, continues to be deeply connected to the spiritual legacy that played a significant role in their lives.
