Bollywood star Aamir Khan had a proud moment as his daughter, Ira Khan, got the Inspiring Youth Award at The CSR Journal Excellence Awards in Mumbai on Saturday. The father-daughter duo, along with Aamir’s first wife, Reena Dutta, and Ira’s fiancé Nupur Shikhare, were all there at the event. Aamir Khan was honored by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also on stage. Ira Khan received an award, and the family, Aamir, Ira, Reena, and Nupur, were spotted sitting together. Aamir Khan rocked a maroon shirt, while Ira looked stunning in a black saree.
Ira: Founder Of Agatsu Foundation
Ira, who is the CEO and founder of the Agatsu Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to mental health and well-being, shared her thanks on social media. She shared a selfie with the award, saying, “Thank you for the honor, @thecsrjournal I got to share a stage with so many cool people! Thank you to the entire @agatsufoundation team – the official team and the unofficial team – for being on this journey with me ❤️ you’re the reason I can do what I do.”

Ira Khan, who was diagnosed with clinical depression almost six years ago, has been transparent about her challenges on social media. She candidly discussed the impact of her parents’ divorce on her, her ongoing battle with mental health, and the strategies that have supported her coping. In response to her experiences, Ira founded the Agatsu Foundation, which translates to ‘self-victory.’ The foundation is dedicated to assisting others dealing with similar challenges. It runs a community center offering diverse activities accessible to everyone and a clinic providing medical assistance.

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira will get married to Nupur Shikhare on January 3. Sharing the news with News 18 earlier, Aamir Khan said, “Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen is – Waise toh pet name unka naam Popeye hai (his pet name is Popeye) – he is a trainer, and he has arms like Popeye, but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy. When Ira was battling depression, he was with her. He is someone who has stood by her and emotionally supported her. I am happy that she has selected a boy who… they are so happy together. They are very well connected; they look after each other and care for each other.”
